Drawing on the site’s history as a sixty-year-old lumbermill, the Boxheart Commons name is derived from the term boxed heart which refers to the center core of a tree. Like a boxed heart, Boxheart Commons draws people from all corners of our thriving Healdsburg community together, extending the local culture with new opportunities to connect and engage with one another.

Set in Northern Healdsburg, Boxheart Commons is an extension of downtown, bringing amenities, public space, small business opportunities, retail, and high needs housing to the northern edge of our unique town. Since the project’s onset, the intention has been to enhance our incredibly special town at the intersection of some of the world’s best food, wine, family-friendly activity, art, retail, sports and nature. Our goal is to amplify these unique charms by giving Healdsburg another place to come together.
